CHild Protection Policy Training

This online course has been designed to make it easier for parish volunteers and staff to complete their mandatory training in the Policy for the Protection of Children in Ministry Units. This training needs to be undertaken every three years.

Information for those completing the online course

Thanks for the time and energy you give to our organisation! You belong to a group of over 7000 people who contribute through volunteer or professional work to the life and mission of the Anglican Church Southern Queensland. Each of us needs to undertake training to become (and remain) familiar with the Diocesan policies and procedures for the protection of children. Following the instructions of Diocesan Council, we must all do this training every three years.

You are invited to complete your training online, using the new course designed to introduce you to the Policy for the Protection of Children in Ministry Units.

This e-learning course contains a series of videos with activities and questions, and is very clear and easy to navigate.

To do the course, follow these steps:

  1. Visit https://cppt-acsq.teachable.com/p/pppcmu-training-program

  2. Click the “Enroll in Course for FREE” button. You will be directed to create an account.

  3. Do the course using the Activity Workbook, the Policy for the Protection of Children in Ministry Units, and its associated Procedures and Guidelines. The course may take 2.5 hours or so.

When you’re finished, the Office of Professional Standards will receive a notice that you’ve completed the course.
